This is by far the best book of its kind. I am very happy that I bought it. It is an excellent reference book that I often pick up and read through if I feel a little rusty at talking to girls.

The authors definitely know their stuff. With more than 40 different topics and sub-headings, the book has plenty of information. It is written in a casual, relaxed tone which makes for a fun read.

I am a little disturbed by anyone who would give it a bad review on this Amazon site. It is not an expensive book and you certainly get your $6.95 worth. It appears that some anonymous guy from Chicago keeps putting up a negative review after someone puts up a good one. He mostly likely didn't even read the book since he talks about things that aren't even in it. For example, there is no reference to picking up girls at a sporting event in the book. Did he write a competing book? Why would he keep checking the book's site to make sure that his negative review is the last one? Very strange.

Oh well, Amazon is what it is. Anyway, this book is the real deal. No disappointment for me. Happy hunting all!

Let's face it, even women at times are not sure why guys don't come up to them in bars. So why not write a funny, attitudinal book EXCLUSIVELY about picking up women, and help everyone out?

This book is an inspirational read, if nothing more than the sheer fact that it's so short and to the point. It gives you sampler lines, a mode of thought, a way to stop the crap by not even going there--i.e. her switch is off--plus that ever so important thing we all must remember: there are women out there who hang out in bars, clubs, parties, JUST so they will meet a guy who has enough confidence and verve to ask them out.

I think it floors a woman when the guy that she just smiled and doesn't come up to her. The writers of this book know that. So what if they're trying to make real men out of all of us?

The dating scene is a tough world. Let them.

The Guide is excellent. It's an invaluable tool for becoming more effective during initial interactions with girls. The book provides good, simple techniques for overcoming social anxiety and specific advice for meeting and dating women. It is clearly written, lively, and very enjoyable to read.

This is a pretty good book for it's price. Please be advised that it is very specific and it is only on picking up chicks. After you get her number or whatever, what are you going to do? Good luck, this book doesn't tell you! I must say, I followed the advice in this book very religiously and it works like a charm. It is so easy to get numbers, but guess what? Most of the time, the girl is just being courteous or don't have the heart to tell you the truth. Only 1% of the numbers turn out to be dates. And I still have no clue on what to do during the date because I have yet to find a good book on that topic! The book doesn't cost that much, but if you want to save a few bucks, here is the secret to picking up chicks. Ready? (Drumroll)....confidence. One of the points the book makes is that the idea of girls liking jerks is partially true. The fact is, most of the nice guys are weak and not confident enough, that is why they lose out. In case you don't know, girls do like jerks because most jerks are also very attractive guys. But if you act tough and confident, you have a better chance. The other thing the book says is when girls say they want someone more mature, they really mean someone more confident. Once again, it is all about confidence. For those who do not know what this is, it is doing something based on your own free will without any validation from anyone. It is sticking to and hanging to your own judgement when the whole world seems to be against you. I've lost a really special girl because I did not understand this.

This book is awesome. It has pretty much everything I wanted to know about how to get a girl's phone number. It explains everything from the beginning (how to prepare for going out at night), to the middle (how to approach a girl you like), and to the end (how to close the deal and get the phone number).

The writers definitely know their stuff. And the book is very good in balancing the general with the specific. For example, the book will first discuss a broad topic like a general attitude you should convey when talking to girls. It will then shift to discussing very specific details like the exact words that should be used when talking to a girl.

The book also has a lot of humor too, which makes it hard to put down.

This book is very good at explaining all the necessary steps of how to approach, meet, and eventually date women. You have to go where they go, build up the courage to talk to them, and set up a date. Once you are aware of these steps, one must practice them. That's all the information that exists in this book. I think most of us already know the steps involved, just not how to proceed with them. If you're looking for anything more than reassurance that the above is the process for meeting women, shy away from this book.

Also, how much value can you put in a book that says one should get drunk before trying to talk to women and should begin to smoke, just in case you find a woman who does?

I found this book to be quite brilliant because it focuses on preparation and handling various scenarios in picking up girls. The book is written in a specific tone which conveys a general philosophy or frame of mind that should be adopted when picking up girls. The best part of the book is when it discusses how to deal with rejection. The book is correct when it states that many girls cannot be picked up no matter what you try because those girls have their switches "off". Finding a girl with her switch "on" is indeed only the beginning.

This book is a must-have purchase. As a woman, I read it for different reasons than a guy: to learn how men think. I was quite surprised when I realized that the writers know exactly how women think. This book will help every guy understand women. Any negative reviews appearing on this website must have been written by writers of competing books.

No matter your financial/physical status or age. "The Guide" provides easy to remember, concise directions that cover all of the easily forgotten but CRUCIAL rules of this often botched first step. It also is funny as hell when one realizes all the things he still messes up after years of trying. If you think you are pretty good at meeting and getting girls phone numbers for a date, you REALLY need to read this! You still have lots of room for improvement. All I can tell you is that women really do love the things this book talks about. When have you ever had the opportunity to improve your social life so much for under $10? Try not to laugh outloud (at our failed efforts) too much.

I would recommend reading this little book if you are looking for ideas on how to meet more women. That is what the book is good for. It is full of suggestions on how to approach, what to wear, the WINGMAN, which is so important, and other good ideas that really form a base to build from to meet lovely women.

The book is short, and very easy to read. Most of it is written in a dry tone, but it seems like a good reference book.

The problem is that my friend has borrowed it, and he won't give it back.
