5.0 out of 5 stars FEDERAL Pharmacy Law made simple and concise, June 19, 2002
By
Donnie (Lake Charles, LA United States) - See all my reviews
This book is to-the-point, yet very thorough, when it comes to Federal Pharmacy Law. I am a traveling pharmacist, thus I have had to take MPJEs for several states (and law exams for those states who do not participate in MPJE). So far this guide has helped me to pass them all and I will definitely continue to use it for future MPJEs. But don't forget you still need to know EACH individual state's laws and rules too.

4.0 out of 5 stars A thorough review for the MPJE, July 27, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Guide to Federal Pharmacy Law, Fourth Edition (Paperback)
If you need a very thorough but concise review of federal pharmacy law before you take the MPJE, this is your book. Each section focuses on a specific area of pharmacy law and then reinforces what you have just read with several review questions. After you have read all of the sections (which takes only a day or two) you can use the hundreds of practice questions at the end of the book to test your knowledge. The questions are VERY similar to the actual questions on the exam. I read this book, did all of the practice questions, skimmed over the state law manual, and passed the MPJE last week. Definitely a useful study tool.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good material - beware poor editing and index, March 21, 2006
This review is from: Guide to Federal Pharmacy Law, Fourth Edition (Paperback)
I like the scope and format of this book. It is very easy to study and I love the large number of questions. However, beware of missing information about the Medicare Modernization Act. The material cuts off in mid-sentence and continues on to a new paragraph leaving the reader to wonder what was missed. I would have liked a more thorough explanation of adulterated vs. misbranded especially in relation to expiration dating. Question numbers 29,143,186,194 and 204 appear to have errors. I would also like more to appear in the index to be able to find subject matter quickly. In spite of these issues I would recommend this reference and I hope the editors will improve the next edition.
