Review
Headed for the Blue River? The Rio Grande? The Fryingpan? If you want to know the key access areas, insect hatches and patterns to use - and even some of the most productive runs - on one of Streit's selected public waters, this book is worth the money. It's particularly worth it if the anger isn't intimately familiar with the stream in question. Streit has more than a passing familiarity with the needs of Colorado fly anglers. Owner of the Mountain Angler shop in Breckenridge, Streit has 22 years experience fishing and guiding in Colorado. He fishes an average of 100 days a year.
"We maintain that fly fishers, of all abilities, need a quick, clear understanding of a fly fishing water and then, away they go," said David Banks, publisher of the 78 page book. "The maps are tidy versions of the maps Jackson would draw if you asked him how to get to a particular spot." -- Bob Saile, Denver Post 06/21/95
