Great Guide to the Lower Great Lakes
This book has been a very useful guide. In addition to the guides for a variety of kayak trips this book also highlights some of the scenic places to visit in the Great Lakes region. Weak
While the format of the book is good, the content appears weak. I bought it to learn about areas I didn't know, but to gauge the value of the information, looked at the one I do know (Lake Erie). Ohio, with over 260 miles of shoreline and some wonderful island trips, is omitted. In the directory of paddling clubs, the venerable Keelhaulers and Bradstreet groups are...

While the format of the book is good, the content appears weak. I bought it to learn about areas I didn't know, but to gauge the value of the information, looked at the one I do know (Lake Erie). Ohio, with over 260 miles of shoreline and some wonderful island trips, is omitted. In the directory of paddling clubs, the venerable Keelhaulers and Bradstreet groups are conspicuous by their absence. These are not insignificant oversights.
