The only thing worse than not writing at all is having a stack of your books sitting in the garage - unsold, taking up space, taunting you.

After all, sitting in the garage is just one step above sitting in the computer; which is only a half-a-step above the ideas rolling around, trapped inside your head, right?

Will anybody ever read my stuff?

Sarah Bolme has the answer! (And it's affirmative) Your Guide to Marketing Books in the Christian Marketplace is just the book to help get those books out of the garage, onto shelves, and into the hands of happy readers.

Although this book is primarily for the self-published, it has tidbits that will help the pre-published and those who are going through publishing houses. From a birds-eye view to the fine details, Sarah walks us through the world of retail and helps us learn how to get our books sold.

Seriously - this book is incredibly helpful. It is really practical, with easy to implement steps and tips. It isn't a book to read once - it is a resource. One that you will buy and keep on your shelf for frequent referral. I look forward to the updates as well.

Sarah Bolme has created the right kind of book for helping both new and growing publishers in the Christian market. She begins with the fundamentals of successful book marketing (networking, distribution, endorsements/reviews/awards, connecting with resellers & consumers) and extends that information with the unique participants in the Christian book market. Her research is comprehensive --- giving young publishers a much needed leg up to successful marketing and sales. I highly recommend this book for reaching out to, and communicating with, the vibrant Christian book market.

In fact, just today I needed some guidance for preparing my first author blog tour, and Bolme's book offered the direction I needed. This is a resource I am recommending for all Judson Press authors, whether they are first-timers or previously published.
