Groundbreaking for its time,
This review is from: Guide to Martial Arts Training With Equipment (Paperback)
The legendary Dan Inosanto shares some of the training methods that have helped make Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do an amazing martial art. This book was written in the early 1980's and is now an out of print collectors item.
This really is an excellent reference source for training with martial arts equipment like the heavy bag, speed bag, focus mitts, etc... The material presented in this guide book was considered to be ahead of its time in the 1960's, 70's and 80's. For the young generation of martial artists today this type of training is considered to be common. There is a lot to be learned from this guide book. I strongy recommend this book to anyone wishing to expand their training to include contact training with equipment. Much thanks to the late Bruce Lee and the legendary Dan Inosanto

This is an excellent book for training with Martial Art equipment (heavy bag, bad drills, foam pads...) Dan Inosanto using Jeet Kune Do technics offer powerful and basic technics for any marial arts and street fight combat sports. This book is recommended for anyone who wants to seriously train on an heavy bag and other equipment. The only problem is that out off 24 drills only 7 are using the left lead. This might be confusing for beginners who are right handed (using left lead) and who want to focus on their position. But this can be adjusted by having a pro spending 5 minutes showing you how to adapt by working both leads. Intermediate and advanced martial artists will adjust both leads very easily. Conclusion: A Great Book ! Thanks to Dan and Bruce !
