About the Author

Ronald B. Sterling, president of Sterling Solutions, Ltd., Silver Spring, Maryland, is a nationally recognized expert in medical practice management systems, with more than 15 years of experience using technology and information as a competitive weapon. He has worked with numerous PHOs, MSOs, and clinics in 30 states to integrate business options with office automation systems. He has reviewed products from more than 150 healthcare software vendors.

Mr. Sterling is a frequent speaker on medical practice management and hospital-based physician networks to a variety of industry groups. He has presented courses on practice management systems for a wide range of professional and industry groups. In addition, Mr. Sterling has contributed to more than 30 publications, including AMA News, Health Niche Advisor, AAOS Bulletin, Review of Ophthalmology, and Medical Economics.

Mr. Sterling earned a BS in Information Systems from the University of Maryland and an MBA in International Business from George Washington University. He is member of the AICPA and the Maryland Association of CPAs.
