Guide to Tourism and Navigation in French Polynesia
Excelent book for the navigator as well as being a first rate cruising guide.

Coffee table picture book - worthless for cruising
Heard lots of good things about this book - lucky thing I had a chance to read thru a borrowed copy. In my opinion - having cruised FP in our sailboat, this book is worthless as a cruising guide. Look around for a used copy of marcia Davock's out of print - the bible.

The wrap is better than the gift,

Nice pictures, complicated indexes, not so many navigation tips, poor English translation. Nevertheless this is the only nautical guide for the area (Bora Bora - Raiatea - Tahaa) I was interested in. Buy it if you can't find something better.
