Excellent source for first-time boxer owners.
Patti Rutledge has created an excellent one stop source for first time boxer owners. "Guide to Owning a Boxer" is very well written and contains many wonderful color pictures. This book is a must reference for anyone who loves the Boxer breed.

Find another book
Don't get me wrong... this book has some useful information. But it's nothing you can't find elsewhere, about dogs in general or boxers in particular. You're paying for glossy pictures and a very slim volume. The little useful information that you'll find here is, alas, written in a cloying, cutesy and often ungrammatical style that really drew on my reserves to...

Find another book,

Don't get me wrong... this book has some useful information. But it's nothing you can't find elsewhere, about dogs in general or boxers in particular. You're paying for glossy pictures and a very slim volume.The little useful information that you'll find here is, alas, written in a cloying, cutesy and often ungrammatical style that really drew on my reserves to get through it. I don't normally review books, and rarely give bad reviews, but in this case, I wish I hadn't bought the book.
