there should be more in depth literature on breeding doves.
Photographs are good. very few speices of doves are discussed. there should be more emphasis on new mututations of doves.there is always confusion between pigeon and doves and this book also does not clear the confusion.

excellent book for the aviculturist, August 10, 2009
This review is from: A Guide to Pigeons, Doves & Quail: Their Management, Care and Breeding (Paperback)
This book is a wealth of information about breeding and raising exotic doves from Australia. Very little is known about the reproduction of these species and it was interesting to hear his first hand experiences. He gives some useful information about treating and preventing illness, constructing an aviary, and the diet needed to maintain these beautiful birds in captivity.
