4.0 out of 5 stars Index to The Life Science Library, May 13, 2009
This review is from: A Guide to Science and Index to the Life Science Library (Hardcover)
A Guide to Science and Index to the Life Science Library is one of 26 volumes in the Life Science Library which was published by Time-Life books in the 1960s. Though obviously dated, I found this book to be informative and useful.

The first half of the book contains an essay on the history of science and eight picture essays describing the individual fields of physics, chemistry, microbiology, anatomy, mind and body, technology, geology, and astronomy. The last half of the book is an index to all 26 volumes in the Life Science Library. Some of the titles in this series include The Cell, Energy, Machines, Planets, Weather, and Wheels. While the books in this series are old, they present the many fields of science in an easy-to-read format and are quite informative. Also, if you are collecting volumes in the Life Science Library then this index can serve as a checklist to that end. To reiterate, A Guide to Science and Index to the Life Science Library is a useful and informative book by itself and as a reference tool for the Life Science Library.
