This is nearly perfect. It is short and right to the point without a lot of unnecessary filler. It describes how to actually blow the Shofar, how to select and maintain your Shofar, the various sequences of notes to be played, and the reasons and purpose for the various occasions upon which the Shofar may be played. All this in a very direct and concise manner. Well done!

The Shofar is a most ancient instrument, used in the Temple in Jerusalem. Mr., Finkle traces the history, musicality, technique and religious significance of the instrument. The Shofar is mentioned several times in the Bible for many purposes. Both Christianity and Judaism revere the Sound of the Shofar because it will sound at the advent of the Messiah. Therefore, this is a "must-read book.

The book is as it title " Easy Guide to Shofar Sounding. Very simple easy book to read and follow. It even goes into details on how to go about choosing, blowing, cleaning, and when to blow the shofar.

I teach shofar, and this little book, written with lots of love, provides a student, both new and more experienced, with useful information and lore about the shofar. Several photographs give good models of good posture and how to hold the shofar. Also, he shows his way of playing the calls with musical notation, which is very helpful. I highly recommend this little book to anyone who is interested in finding out more about the shofar.
