4.0 out of 5 stars using journey to topaz, August 23, 2006

This review is from: A Guide for Using Journey to Topaz in the Classroom (Literature Units) (Paperback)
Suitable for grades 4-6
used as an introduction to Farewell to Manzanar....bridged with Time of Fear DVD
Easy to read and simplistic. Puts a human touch on the internment....good as a reference to Guantanomo but needs Farewell to Manazar to put reality into it.
Life Interrupted Curriculum is a big help to fleshing out the soft touch approach in Journey
