I was very unhappy with this book. I opened it up and read it through once before deciding to return it. The activities are weak and not thought-provoking.

Educators! Regardles if you are a Homeschooler, ESE teacher or Regular Ed Teacher this is a great resource for you. You have everything you need and for an added bonus purchase the movie. Everything you need for teaching literature or reading is here. Background knowledge, above and beyond engaging activities and discussion materials. The Blackline Masters and extended activities including vocabulary, questions, assessments, writing exercises, literature/story elements and answer keys. High quality lessons for the English or Reading classes both Middle and High School. I used this with High Maintenance students (IEH) which included a mixture of low to high reading and writing levels not to mention emotional disorders. I had a minute amount of incidences the entire 6 weeks. The incidences was the resistance of new material and high expectations. They were hooked after the first few days and attendance was increased to 85% which was an added bonus. They wanted to know what happened next and enjoyed the vast amount of discussions and comparisons we were doing with then and now. They were amazed of the timeframe of this book and the relevance. Educators this is the curriculum for you! Use it the first semester or end of the year and the success will enlighten you! <><

This has sectional short answer questions and activities that are decent for middle school students. It offers more ideas than are possible to complete during a unit. I especially like the character building ideas.
