Very Helpful!
I used this book in my vet tech program and found it to be WONDERFULLY easy to learn the meanings. It was the first time I was introduced to latin and other root words that are important for understanding human or animal terminology. For example: Poly mean "many", Gingiva- "gums", gastro- "Stomach", itis- "inflammation of". Not sure why the book has such...

Not too bad, for a beginner.
I really liked the crossword puzzles at the end of each chapter to help you remember and reuse the words, but I thought it could have been organized more clearly. Still, very helpful.

Not sure why the book has such poor reviews. It's organized well, in sections with an awesome glossary of medical terms in the back. I found it fun to learn from this book.
