This is a great toy box. The hinges and perfect! They don't let the lid slam down on fingers and the hinges keep the lid up with out holding it with your hands.

We just got the toy box in today, 11/2/11. It wasn't supposed to arrive until 11/8 to 11/14! I was so surprised, that never happens! The box was heavy but my husband was able to carry it downstairs by himself so it's manageable. The back panel with the pictures did have a scratch on it that was already covered up with blue paint. It was a tad darker than the rest of the blue but you cannot notice it unless you are looking for it. I didn't check the dimensions so I was a little surprised at the size. It is smaller than I anticipated but that is no fault to the seller. I have attached pictures of it open. my husband put it together in about 45 minutes. The screws for the hinges were hard to put in. One broke off at the tip but it doesn't affect how it opens or closes. It will stay open without someone holding it so not smashed fingers. The bottom, which I didn't notice in the picture until I went back to look, is supported by four painted baseballs. It is so cute! We might by another one for upstairs. It is very sturdy and supports by weight when I sit on it, 115lbs. The painting is also done perfectly.

I shopped around for this product and found this site to be the best price. Item was delivered before scheduled time and shipping was FREE...who doesn't like free? One word of warning....this toy box is extremely heavy! We gave it as a baby shower gift and it took three people to carry it, unassembled. I would highly recommend this product and site to anyone! By the way, it was a GIFT...we're not really Cubs fans at all. (Go Marlins!)
