2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money, September 18, 2006
This review is from: Guidebook to Patent Law: A handbook for the Patent Bar Exam (Plastic Comb)
I bought this book when I first contemplated taking the patent bar exam. I was hoping it would provide a good basis to kick me off, but it ended up being disappointing.

Some comments are helpful, e.g. which parts of the MPEP are tested more and which are tested less heavily. However, more accurate information is available free on the internet. The old exams available at the USPTO website are extremely useful. Studying those intensely helped me a lot. A lot of people have posted their experiences taking the new computerized test in forums and wikis - those were invaluable as well.

Otherwise the main guidebook contains 90% verbatim from the MPEP and 10% summary. The MPEP however is better read online, especially trying to look up issues under test conditions, and the summary makes sense only in combination with old exams to understand why specific parts of the MPEP are more critical to know than others.

Overall: Not worth the money.
