This clamp-on paper center is wonderful! It looks great and it works great. Without a dangerous sharp edge, it has a cutter that neatly cuts off a piece, pretty as you please!The colors are nice, with red for for the cutter, yellow for the end knobs, and green underneath on the wooden screws that hold the paper center securely on the edge of--in my case--the craft table. It is really dandy! There is a goof in the description, because it doesn't have suction cups (doesn't need them). That is the other paper cutter Guidecraft makes, that doesn't attach to the table. This paper center takes up very little space on the table top--almost none at all. It mounts neatly and looks neat and works great! It is really a winner!

Clamps only go up to 2 inches,

The clamps on this one only go up to 2 inches of table thickness so it's good to be aware of this. We bought this before purchasing our table and ended up with a surprise. Luckily the construction is simple enough that I should be able to create some spacers out of scrap pieces of wood. Overall, very good construction and it's safe for the kid!

I bought this for Christmas for my 6-year-old grand-daughter, and she loves it! She has a little desk in her bedroom, where her dad clamped the roller for her to use. It gives her an unlimited paper supply for drawing, practicing with her STAMPS before she stamps them onto a more expensive card, or just to cover up her desk to protect it if she's doing something messy.I did quite a bit of shopping around (not just at Amazon.com) before I selected this particular style, and then to look for the BEST PRICE. I was very happy with the quality for the price, and the fact that it's wood instead of plastic. It is just as brightly colored as it shows in the photo. It's March now, and it has held up well - so far, so good. The only thing that I would do differently, is to buy an extra roll of paper to go along with the gift!
