We've bought and returned several inexpensive chests...all "knockdown" ones that come in a million pieces and never quite fit together right. This one, although it also requires considerable assembly, was made of quality materials and really fit together perfectly. Highly recommended.

Disappointed in quality of hardware,

Overall the quality and look of the chest is nice. However, we were disappointed with the poor quality of the hardware that came with it, especially since the product was quite expensive. When screwing the screws into the wood (assembling the top with thw brackets) the head of three of the screws came off completely leaving just the base of the screw inside the wood. This resulted in us having to drill new holes and use stronger screws. We suggest not to use the screws that come with the chest, but rather purchase stronger screws (same size) to avoid this headache.
