I highly recommend this relaxation CD by Dr. Minnick to all health professionals who are looking for adjunctive help for their clients/patients in need of stress management. My clients reported that Dr. Minnick's voice was so calming and reassuring that they used it not only for stressful times, but also on a regular basis to aid them in their meditation/relaxation practices. I have received such positive feedback from my clients on this CD that I now recommend it before any other relaxation media I have used in the past.

Wonderfully relaxing!,

Dr. Minnick's calm voice and guided imagery are both extremely soothing. I have listened to many CDs on relaxation, and find Dr. Minnick's approach to be the most useful. This CD has the added benefit of offering relaxation sequences with music, waves, or voice only. A must for anyone trying to reduce tension!

Now I Know What True Hypnosis Is,

I was able to sleep slightly better during weekends, but during weekdays I felt very tired when I woke up, with not enough rest. Like many of you, work usually is crazy for me, and by the time I get to work after a crazy commute, it feels like half my energy is already gone. I wanted to help myself and got "Guided Relaxation; Voice With Music" out of sheer curiosity, via Amazon download.
I got to bed, switched on my iPod, selected this hypnosis, and the last sentence I remember hearing was "There is nothing you have to do. Your own conscience will do the listening for you" or something like that. (You'll hear this about a minute after you start the audio. The audio is for about 20 minutes.) That was it. I was knocked out. I woke up better the next day, and I actually couldn't believe it. So I tested it again, and again I just cannot remember anything she said past that 1 minute. (Dr. Heidi Minnick has an amazing soothing voice by the way) Yesterday was the third time I listened to it. Usually, if I get to bed early, I just keep twisting and turning. As a test I deliberately went to bed very early (VERY - 8.20pm), played this audio again and I woke up at 6am this morning! And again, I don't remember anything past that one minute. It actually even felt a little creepy; It made me wonder what on earth was there that knocked me out thrice! This is the first time I am trying anything hypnotic (and understand the concept better probably because I dont remember a thing :) ). All I can honestly say is this helped me. I don't know if it is just me, but for those with a strong desire to rest/sleep better, this may truly help. Worth a shot I'd say. Afterall, it's just 99 cents!
