Back to the basics,
This review is from: Guidelines of Faith (Paperback)
This is a must read if you are a disciple of Nichiren Diashonin. No matter what the problem is it is an effect. I have been reading this book since 2005. It has help me in how to stay on track from the Buddhist point of view.

If your practice is stuck - if your life is not moving - shake it loose with this VERY strict guidance! A must in your Buddhist library - for when you want no nonsense direction.

I was actually introduced to this book by another SGI member at a daimoku tozo. I have a substantive collection of Buddhist literature and was unfamiliar with this particular book(I didn't know that it's no longer being published). I was able to get a used copy in excellent condition. I'm only half-way through the book but I've definitely been able to glean some helpful information and guidance. Much of what Westerners read in the book may seem out of step with our culture as the writer offers guidance with a distinctly Japanese cultural orientation. The writer is strict and direct in the guidance that he gives about how to practice Nichiren Buddhism "correctly". Nevertheless, there are still many gems inside and much that can be learned from reading it.
