This review is from: Guidelines: Practical Tips For Working And Socializing With Deaf-blind People (Paperback)
I had to purchase this book for a course I was taking, Working with the Deaf-Blind Community. I would not say that it was particularly helpful. There were a few tips that were handy, but they would take up about two pages maximum. The majority, by which I mean 99%, of this book is just the authors personal experiences - it is much more an autobiography and "Look at how great I am!" book than anything to learn from. It really is too bad that there are not more books on this topic, for this book really does not do the subject matter justice or teach much of anything.
