This review is from: Guidelines and Games for Teaching Efficient Braille Reading (Paperback)
Don't let the copyright date fool you! This book is a MUST BUY for any teacher who addresses braille instruction. Parents who are looking for ways to develop braille reading skills will also want to obtain this book! There are excellent suggestions for instructional strategies that work for beginning readers as well as students who may be learning braille as a back-up to print reading. A whole chapter is devoted to developing braille games. An Appendix includes an easy to use braille assessment checklist. I've been using this book since 1981 and refer to it often when presented with a new braille instruction challenge.
