I bought this set under the assumption that it was the same set released by Reader's Digest in the early 1980's, but this is an entirely different set. Even with that, it is a very acceptable set of both traditional and some contemporary Christian music. Only half of one of the four discs is given over to contemporary Christan music, and the rest is more traditional fare. It is not as good as some of the Reader's Digest's sets, but it is still a very good deal for those who enjoy primarily traditional Christian music.

This collection contains a wonderful selection of songs in several styles, that I would label as Classic choir, Church choir, Southern gospel (but very few quartets), Country gospel. All selections are of highest quality, even though many artists and choirs were unknown to me. My favourite is the Old Village Choir. Can somebody give me information about this choir which I had never heard of before?
