Not as flimsy as some others, and very well made.

The rubber-bands that came with it broke after about 5 flights.

We tried several other of the rubberband balsa planes and were disappointed. They were just so poorly constructed, and so weak, that they couldn't take off by themselves and/or shattered instantly in a crash - not like the ones we remembered when young. But this one was everything I remembered - it's made a bit thicker and more durable - crashes don't hurt it. And it has TWO rubberbands that it uses at the same time for extra umph - it can fully take off from the ground by itself, and can fly over the neighbor's roof. Plus, it has thoughtful adjustment tips printed on the underside of the wings.

After almost giving up on other rubber band planes, I just ordered a second of this one. :)

I love balsa wood airplanes, and this is a very good one. Not as flimsy as some others, and very well made. It flys as well as any ones I have seen. It was bigger than I expected. I haven't crashed it bad enough to break it yet.

Okay, I don't expect 300 ft flights, and this did not deliver that, more like 150 ft at best, but I am sure I could wind it up more, and then risk breaking the rubber band or plane. I have played with Balsa airplanes before, and I pretty much know what you get. This one is the best one I have ever had. So, I give it 4 stars, would have been 5, but it doesn't fly as far as advertised, so 1 star subtraction for false advertising, but it was at least as good as I expected, so I am happy.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter. Its just like the ones I played with when I was a kid, cheap and thin and breaks easily! The rubber-bands that came with it broke after about 5 flights. But had some extra at the house that fit so I used those. My daughter was interested in it for about 20 flights, in which the plane took some damage but was easily repairable. She lost interest as did I, nostalgic memories keep me going back to it though!

Our kids love these as much as we did years ago, I don't think anything has changed other than the price....

I personally did not play with this. I did send a mix of balsa wood planes to my baby boy [age 40] as a Christmas gift. His feed back was great.
