Customer Reviews

If you launch from the ground it doesn't fly high.

Ok - it's balsa wood, thin balsa wood, but if ur careful in putting it together, and play with it in an open field or yard, it's simply tons of fun.

Nearly impossible for an adult, much less a child.

My brothers and I played with these things all through childhood. Sure, they're light and can be broken easily, but come on, they're made of balsa wood! They're so much more fun than paper airplanes though. If you're going to buy one, I suggest buying some extra rubber bands too. Just in case. Have fun!

After owning this thing for less than a day, I already love it! For any plane enthusiast or anybody just looking for a good time, this is the one for you. I have gone through several of these kinds of planes but always ended up returning them because they broke easily. Well that all changes with this plane. The only thing I would have to point out is that the instructions can be a little difficult (you have to be patient while assembling this), and that you might want to install an extra rubber band for more power (it is included!). Other than that this thing works great and exactly as advertised. It is an airplane that releases a parachuter or even a glider (it comes with both). Or if you prefer just to fly the airplane itself, it is still a great time. So far I have had no problem with this product, just hours and hours of fun, and hopefully more to come. Very impressed with this company and that important spare parts are included in the box (extra frame, rubber band, ect.) This is such a high quality item for its very inexpensive price. Highly Recommended!

Pros: easy to put together, decent flight.
Cons: Too brittle. Within 5 minutes the rear horizontal stabilizer split, the fuselage broke.
Conclusion: expect to discard the toy after 15 min of play. I am personally fine with that.
EDIT: 4 months later my son prefers this half-broken plane to new RC helicopter. It is definitely a better flier.

Ok - it's balsa wood, thin balsa wood, but if ur careful in putting it together, and play with it in an open field or yard, it's simply tons of fun. We wind it up and let our grandchildren let it go - it takes them a couple times to get right, but then we have the who can fly the furthest, or highest or longest contests with them - they love it. But 2 at this price...

I purchased this plane for a science project for my son, since the trigger-launch types got such horrible reviews. Putting it together, while relatively easy, I found to be an exercise in demonstrating just how brittle these pieces are, as I broke the body of the plane near the rear tail section. Obviously, this is quite common, as the company included a second body, which held up fairly well until about the 10th time I had to re-insert the tail fin. Once I got it working, it flew pretty well, although it seemed to pull left a lot, but it was a windy day we did the experiments, so that obviously skews the experience a bit. I would buy another one of these, and recommend them, but with the caveat that you have to be WAY more careful with them than you'd ever guess.

Pros: Inexpensive, fun to play with
Cons: SUPER fragile

Used it as part of a demo of wind power for a class of k-3 kids with learning problems. Worked well with making pinwheeels and a windmill kit. Bought 3 smaller planes from same company, which all arrived broken.

Nearly imposible to make work as described. The launched glider and sky diver will not attach and launch as described. Nearly impossible for an adult, much less a child.
