5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book - Highly recommended, May 12, 1999
This review is from: Guilt-edged Ivory (Daw science fiction) (Paperback)
All of the books in this series are wonderful stories with intriguing characters in an unusual and original world. I don't understand why these books weren't more popular and why we've haven't heard from the author since!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is an exciting story combining romance and magic., October 28, 1998

This book continues the story started in Gate of Ivory and Two-Bit Heroes. I love the way that Ms. Egan thinks and writes. The book keeps me on the edge of my seat, waiting to see how Theo extricates herself from the mess that she gets herself into. The story is complicated enough to be interesting and fun enough to be very enjoyable! A good read, I heartily recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, absorbing characters, & intriguing plot, June 28, 1998

I've read all 3 books in this series, and I wish this author would write more. The Gate of Ivory was very good, but I enjoyed this book and Two-Bit Heroes even more. Theodora has a very interesting way of relating her adventures with her husband, Ran the sorcerer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mystery, humor, magic, and good writing, May 29, 1998

This review is from: Guilt-edged Ivory (Daw science fiction) (Paperback)
Good storyline, a sense of humor and reality for human relationships, a good combination of mystery, fantasy, and magic. Not deeply philosophical but an overall good read. Part of a good series and I wish she would write more. I want to know what Theoroda gets into next.

4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent science fiction story., October 25, 1996

I really enjoyed reading this series. Someday I hope I can get my hands on a copy of the first book, The Ivory Gate. This is a story about a girl named Theodora who is marooned on a world with both magic and technology. She discovers that she has certain powers which make her very valuable to those around her. This series has romance, adventure, and excitement. It's fun to see how Theodora changes from the first book to the last book. I definitely recommend this book
