4.0 out of 5 stars Good crunchy chips
I like these Guiltless Gourmet baked blue corn chip. I can't eat dairy so I can't have the flavored varieties. Even the Black Bean blue corn chips, which are really delicious, have dairy so I depend on this plain variety.

I just wish Amazon offered them at a price I could afford.

3.0 out of 5 stars Guiltless? Why so much salt, then?
I don't understand why a "guiltless" baked chip has to have 180mg of salt in 1oz. The commentator who complained about the small amount of oil is missing the bigger issue. The small amount of oil in these chips is healthy oil. It's not really a negative. The negative is this level of salt.

kinda bland tasting & really hard. i know they aren't restaurant style so not to expect them to be the same but even so, something seems not quite right. i definitely prefer UTZ's baked tortilla chips to this brand. they have a better flavor & are softer when you bite into them. maybe UTZ grinds the corn up into finer particles. cause when i eat these guiltless gourmet it always feels like a chunk of whole corn is crammed into my teeth & it hurts.

2.0 out of 5 stars good tasting, but not really guiltless, January 2, 2009

I used to like these chips when they had 2 grams of fat, but at some point in the past year or two they have changed to 3 grams of fat. This Amazon listing still claims 2, but if you check them out at whole foods, all the Guiltless chips have at least 3 grams. Some people may say that this increase is not significant, but you can a cheap bag of fried corn chips with only 4 grams of fat (can't think of the brand, but they come in a large paper bag), so 1 gram either makes a difference to you or is doesn't and you don't need baked chips.
If you want low fat chips, you can get baked blue corn chips at Trader Joe's with 2 grams of fat or at Henry's Farmers Market with only 1 gram of fat. Lay's also used to make corn chips with 1 gram of fat and absolutely no oil added, but they stopped selling those a couple of years back (and Lay's current lowest fat corn chips is 3 grams).
These Guiltless chips do taste good, but I certainly don't taste any difference from the new version than the old ones with 2/3rds that fat content.

We can no longer find these baked Guiltless Courmet in our area stores, so I am delighted to be able to buy them in bulk at a terrific savings from Amazon. They were shipped very quickly, and were intact and delicious.

Guiltless Gourmet Blue Corn Tortilla Chips are very tasty and healthier for you than other bag chips since they are baked...not fried. My other favorites from Guiltless are Mucho Nacho, Chili Lime, and Yellow Corn.

1.0 out of 5 stars No longer "guiltless" -- these chips now have added fat, September 20, 2009
This review is from: Guiltless Gourmet Organic Baked Tortilla Chips, Blue Corn, 7-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
When this product first came out, it had no added oil and was actually healthful. But on the more recent packaging, you can see that it says, "New, bolder taste!" And what kind of chip do they consider to have a "bolder" taste? One that's more oily. The chips now have oil added (look at the ingredient list!), and it only takes 18 small chips to give you 3 grams of dietary fat. I've signaled my dissatisfaction with this (I now consider the labeling to be deceptive, because the chips are as fatty as many fried snacks) by no longer buying the product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cardboard Chips, July 17, 2010

These taste like cardboard. Hard, bland and the black bean have an off bitter taste. I've had a lot of baked, diet chips and these are the worst!

3.0 out of 5 stars awsome chips but mishandling crumbled them all, December 1, 2008
This review is from: Guiltless Gourmet Organic Baked Tortilla Chips, Blue Corn, 7-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
I love these chips they are the best and healthiest blue chips on the market. The bags and the box they came in, however, were beat up and smashed to the point that there were no whole chips left and many were just crumbles.

The chips were as good as any other Blue Corn chips I've tasted, but the shipping process apparently left them in crumbles. I don't think there were any whole chips in any of the bags.
