5.0 out of 5 stars Their best so far
A 3rd album from one of the UK's best pop bands for the last two years welcomes back a bit more of the r'n'b feel into the songs. It also gets the band into areas of bit more rockier sound especially towards the second half of the album. Highlights of teh album according to me are:
1.Stand Up (great party type of track and a good way to open up an album)...

2.0 out of 5 stars Court?
The album is a bit noisy.. I'd have to say that I am not really a fan of the guys' voice. and I would like to point out is blue's secret dream to be a lawyer? First all rise, now guilty... both has to do with 'testify(ing)' and 'all rise' to the judge etc...
Most of the songs sounds the same. You get bored after a while

4.When Summer's Gone (one of the best ballads on the record)
5.Alive (fantastic both vocally and musically)
6.Breathe Easy (just like a great rock ballad - amazing for a pop band isn't it)
7.No Goodbyes (a great ballad, nice way to end the album)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous!, March 26, 2004
This review is from: Guilty (Audio CD)
This album is the best album from the boys from Blue. It is more mature, as well as the songs are written by the boys themselves! My personal favourites are Breathe Easy, Guilty, Stand Up, Walk away and When summer's gone. Breathe easy is a must listen. The songs lyrics are very sad and touching(written by Lee), accompanied by Lee's strong vocals. The video of this song is a must too! This album still retain the blue's trademark of RnB/pop/streetmusic/motown, but it has more depth and is better! It is a must buy for not just blue's fans but a must buy for every music lover out there! Hope the boys get to hit the American market soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING, February 19, 2004
This review is from: Guilty (Audio CD)
amazing, simply amazing. the album is by far the greatest of all of blue's cd's to date. it has a mix of upbeat tracks and ballads. the guys have astonishing voices. For those of you that don't know them, they are not just another boy band. they write their own stuff, which is actually good! buy this album... it's great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Their best yet!, December 3, 2003
This review is from: Guilty (Audio CD)
I always get excited when a Blue album comes on Amazon for me to review. This happens every November/December. Yay!
This is definitely Blue's best album yet. No doubt about it. I have a lot more favourite tracks from this CD then I do from their first two releases "All Rise" and "One Love" (not that I don't love those albums, cuz I do!). Nearly every single track is brilliant in it's own way. And the boys co-wrote every single track on the album apart from the song they sing with Stevie Wonder and Angie Stone, which is a cover.
Here is my track rundown:

1. Stand Up (written by Duncan & Simon)
A great opening track. This is extremely catchy, with a great hook with the lyrics "we roll like the sound of thunder, when it's only you and me". All 4 boys get equal chance to sing on this song. I like it a lot. 5/5
2. Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours (not written by Blue)
This is great! I didn't like it the first time I heard it on the Blue album sampler, but when I heard it in full on the album, I loved it. Angie and Stevie bring a great feel to this upbeat poppy track. It has great music. One of my favourites. 5/5
3. Taste It (written by Duncan)
Another brilliant party track - this is definitely good to dance to. It has a catchy chorus, and great verses. Another winner. 5/5
4. Guilty (written by Duncan)
The first single off the album, this is a great ballad full of meaning. Lee does the main vocals on the chorus, and he sounds great. All the boys get a chance to sing. 5/5
5. Bubblin' (written by Antony)
Great catchy track. It has great music, and a very catchy chorus with great lyrics. 5/5
6. Rock The Night (written by Simon & Antony)
Now this is the worst track on the album. It is also one of Blue's worst tracks ever. It is so cheesey, and as my friend Zoe once said "should be banished forever never to come back". The only redeeming feature this song has is the vocals and the music. 3/5
7. When Summer's Gone (written by all four guys)
MY FAVOURITE! I love this song! It's so amazing. All the parts in the song are sooooo great! I love the bridge and the chorus - the best line is "we'll be walking through leaves". Simply great, a great effort written by all the guys. The best song on the album. 5,000,000/5
8. Alive (written by all four guys)
My second favourite! I absolutely LOVE the music in this track. It's so sad, but still upbeat. All the guys have a part in this song, and Lee does the bridges well. Simon does the solo choruses at the end good too. Another brilliant track. 5,000/5
9. I Wanna Know (written by Duncan & Antony)
I love this song. It has very cool lyrics and vocals. It also has my favourite lyric on the entire album in Duncan's first verse in the beginning - 'Shaped like a hourglass, hello'. You have to hear it to see how good it is. I also like the chorus, each guy gets a line by himself. 5/5
10. Back It Up (written by Simon & Antony)
This is so funny! I love this track. It's cheesey like Rock The Night, but a good kind of cheesey. It has the second best lyric of the album in - 'B.L.U.E: Simon, Lee, Duncan & Antony'. It makes me laugh so much. This is really upbeat and happy. 5/5
11. Breathe Easy (written by Lee)
The beautiful ballad of the album. I didn't like it when I first heard it, but now I love it. It is simply touching, all the guys sound amazing and Lee sounds great on the chorus. 5/5
12. Walk Away (written by Lee)
This song has fantastic lyrics - apart from the good lyrics in I Wanna Know and Back It Up, this has the best lyrics on the entire album. Lee writes good songs. I love the chorus and the music. 5/5
13. Where You Want Me (written by Duncan)
This is very catchy, with a great chorus. The music is very cool and Duncan sounds great on it (sings main vocals because he wrote it). Another favourite. 5/5
14. How's A Man Supposed To Change? (written by Lee)
I love this! It's a ballad, with a twist. It's kind of upbeat, kind of slow. I love the lyrics (dammit Lee you write good songs man), and the chorus. 5/5 (I just realised I'm getting repetitive)
15. No Goodbyes (written by Antony)
A good closer to the album. On first listen, it's kind of bland, but listen to it a few times and it grows on you. I like the chorus and the music. 5/5

Favourite songs in order:
1. When Summer's Gone
2. Alive
3. Breathe Easy
4. I Wanna Know
5. Stand Up

Every song on the CD apart from Rock The Night gets a 5/5. This means it's brilliant, and it's Blue's BEST album ever! They just keep getting better and better! Buy this now if you liked any of Blue's past material, you'll like this too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Talent, December 13, 2005

For the last reviewer who is totally wrong about Blue: They actually DO write all their songs on this album, and they DO play instruments. Their live performances and tours are truely out of this world, unlike many of the "bands" today. They are not as manufactured as you may have thought. Maybe you should do your research next time you critique a CD or a vocal group that has been as successful as Blue has. Guilty is a compilation of R&B, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Pop all on one disc. The vocals are better than any other boy group out there right now, period.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, December 10, 2003

Well, it's album #3 from the boys, and it is completely amazing!
The upbeat tunes are very feel good & wonderful, and the ballads are beautiful and heartfelt. I have to say I was worried that the boys wouldn't be able to top their last two albums, but I think they did. The songs are very much uniquely blue (its a good thing!) and the album hasn't left my cd player since I bought it! Any true fan of good music and talent should agree that this album is amazing, and there's probably a song on it for everyone!

Best song Breathe Easy great vocals and No Goodbyes, sounds good already. They are ballads but this album succeeded because of these two. The rest of the cd is mostly r&b and up-beat. Overall great album.

guilty is a great cd, it never gets old when you listen to it. all the songs are rockin except No goodbyes, it's kinda too slow for me. but Breathe Easy and when summer's gone are beautiful. back it up is a great party song, like bubblin'. rock the night was good on the first listen, but then it got kinda corny after that. blue's albums are even better than most pop/rnb groups in America today, thats why i always tell my cousin to send me a copy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Guilty By Blue, March 3, 2006
This review is from: Guilty (Audio CD)
Picked this one up from The Waregouse for only $2.00 just the other day. Surprisingly it was a pretty good album.

1. Stand Up - A nice rnb/dance type of song with a good beat to it. 9/10

2. Signes, Sealed Delivered, Im Yours - The second single from the album, and features Angie Stone and Stevie Wonder. Its was a hit, and it is a good song. Better than the original. 9/10

3. Taste It - Im not quite sure what this song means, but its a good one nontheless. Sounds a bit like a Liberty X song. Reminds me of Just A Little. 10/10

4. Guilty - The first single off the albbum, and a poor one at that. I never really got to feel this song. I think its a bit boring. 5/10

5. Bubblin - The fourth single, that didnt do so good on the charts. I dont know why though, cause its a good one. A nice funky beat, with a little touch of hip hop to it. 10/10

6. Rock The Night - A gem! Its a awesome song! You will be dancing to it all night long! Playing it over and over again and again! Its a disco type dsong with a little rnb feel to it. 12/10

7. When Summers Gone - Ann upbeat ballad I guess or a slow pop tune. It kind of reminds me of dying leaves though... 9/10

8. Alive - This songs a classic typical Blue song, the title Alive I think does not suit the actual song itself. Its a little too slow paced. The song is great, but I think they couldve chosen a different title for it. 10/10

9. I Wanna Know - Reimnds me of 'supesexual' from their second album "One Love". Its a good one too. (and better) 10/10

10. Back It Up - An upbeat dance song, that you will find in any dance club. Doesnt really appeal to me though. 5/10

11. Breathe Easy - The third single. A ballad with a nice chorus. Lee's vocals are superb in this. Great song. The opening piano is good and then the loud chorus comes in, and it all ties in well. 11/10

12. Walk Away - Another good song. Nothing different from the rest of the album. 10/10

13. Where You Want Me - I have heard this song before, and I dont think it first on the album, it sounds like a B-side track to All Rise or something? 7/10

14. Hows A Man Supposed To Change - SUPERB song! Awesome and really emotional! Worth a listen over and over again! 12/10

15. No Goodbyes - I think this was released as a single but im not too sure. I think Hows A Man Supposed To Change should have been the closing track to the album. 8/10

All In All a surprisingly good album, very underrated. Nothing really stands out besides Hows A Man Supposed To Change and Rock The Night, but I guess thats a good thing considering the rest of the tracks are all really good.
