Just got this game yesterday and there has been plenty of playing time since then. I have a before and after school daycare and played this game last night to check out how to play. I have to say, it kept my interest long past just trying to get my bearings. The kids are playing now and they love it. You can play the game cooperatively so I have a brother and sister who disagree on everything working together to solve these mysteries. It's stimulating and the mini games are great as well. For me my biggest challenge is finding activities that everyone wants to participate in. I feel like there is a wide range of ages this game appeals to, it is not gender specific and it makes them use their brains. Thumbs up!

Somehow this gem of a game seems to have drifted under the radar, which is a shame because it is one of the best games of the year.
The game plays out as roughly a videogame version of Clue. After you select your detective (which doesn't change anything but the one liners thrown out during turns), you are settled with a mystery to solve. You can move your character through multiple rooms looking for clues which are shown with big question marks. Searching around the rooms can also find you bonus tokens which can be used to move through more rooms or investigate more items. Each clue generally launches a minigame, some difficult and entertaining (such as picking locks and breaking combinations), some painfully easily (the bribing minigame is a waste). After you get the clue you try to determine whether it helps identify one of four characteristics of the villian, which can then make a sketch of as you go. After each turn, suspects move from room to room and bad guys may make things more difficult by turning off lights or locking doors. Playing cards that you earn every turn can help get past such problems. It can be competitive or cooperative, but the cooperative story mode, which features great and funny dialogue is my personal favorite. I literally have trouble thinking of a person that wouldn't enjoy this game for a short or long session with others (it could get a bit dry alone). A hearty recommend from me.

Bought this game a day after it came out, could not find any reviews. Played it with a 13 yr old and 5 yr old - GREAT GAME! Both kids love it. The only complaint we have is that it does not seem to save our place in the game. Which means each time we start the game again it makes us play the same scenes over - somewhat frustrating but otherwise a great family game.

I bought this yesterday - the day it came out ! I usually think Wii is good for the kids but I'm never that engaged and they are for a short time- this had the whole family enthralled for ages! It had us on the edge of our seats as we all worked together to try and identify the culprit! Wow what a game, I can't wait till they're home from school tomorrow so I can play again! Kids are 7 and up! Buy it you won't be disappointed! FYI I never write reviews but this was so good I had to tell you!

I am a 20 year old college student and I thoroughly enjoy this game. It's fun, just challenging enough to make you think, and has a cute storyline. I especially enjoy playing it with my friends on co-op mode. DEFINITELY a must buy for any family with a Wii, and anyone in search of a good party video game!

I admit I was very impressed by this game. I have two kids 11 years old and 6 years old. They both can play this game. Its funny because they where not really interested in this game. After I popped it in the Wii and played it myself I little bit they wanted to play. The game reminds me of the old fashioned Clue board game but will a more realistic spin on it.
Only one disappointment we beat story mode in 3 hours. I wish there was more to the story mode. But the kids love the mini games. My son that is 11 is almost done with story mode on his own. Its a great party or family game. Way to go Disney! Another great game!

After reading reviews on this game such as people saying that this was a great Disney game that definitely went under the radar, I figured it was a great find and about $10 cheaper than all other good Wii games! Don't get me wrong, it was a decent game but definitely not what I expected. I thought it would be a party game given the title, but I honestly don't think it would be very fun with a group of friends. It's not really that complex, but it's definitely not something you can jump right into and start playing. It has a party mode, but even that isn't a quick mini game.
Basically you choose a character and then go to various rooms collecting clues. When you've collected all the clues (usually around 20) then you accuse a suspect. I should also add that there are only 8 levels and then you've beat the game. It took us about a half hour to beat each level. When you go to get a clue, you have to beat a mini game before you earn the clue. Some of the mini games were a bit challenging, but they all were definitely fairly easily beaten. Overall, I'd say this game is definitely geared more towards kids around 12 maybe. I thought it would be a good party game for any age, but it's not in my opinion. There are manyyy mini games, but you have to play a pretty involved game in order to get to the mini games. It was fun, but I honestly can't see us playing it many more times. It really was a lot like Clue for Wii. Fun, but I wouldn't call it a party game, even though it has a party mode.

Yet another great Disney product that is fun for the whole family. It's well animated and provides some good quality entertainment. It is replayable and the kids probably won't be sick of it anytime soon.
The only downside I've seen is that some of the required mini-games are a bit tough for the under 7 or 8 year of age player. I don't think they're intended to be, but the two sentence directions aren't always enough. As a parent, I have had some difficulty understanding the precise Wii remote movement they are looking for. Sometimes it takes a try or two to get past them.

We haven't finished the main story yet or played the random mysteries, but this game is already worth what we paid for it. Good voice acting, great graphics (for Wii), and fun gameplay. Quite funny, too!

I bought this game over the weekend after reading the reviews and was not disappointed. Myself, my seven year old, another seven year old and my thirteen year old son played this for over four hours. We had lots of fun. We played mostly in cooperative play but at the end switched to competitive mode. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for another fun family game.
