The first Anita Blake novel. Some violence, but not inundated with sex like the later books. Narrator conveyed the meaning of the novel, as well as the words.Worth the price.

The first book of the sexy scifi Anita Blake series did not start out so sexy. That being said it there is plenty vampires, were creatures and of course zombie raisings to keep you turning to the next page.

I love this story, and being able to listen to it in the car during my long commute makes that commute go by. The reader does a good job with voices, and I like the suspense lent my the little bit of music.
