The first Anita Blake novel. Some violence, but not inundated with sex like the later books. Narrator conveyed the meaning of the novel, as well as the words.
Worth the price.

The first book of the sexy scifi Anita Blake series did not start out so sexy. That being said it there is plenty vampires, were creatures and of course zombie raisings to keep you turning to the next page.

I love this story, and being able to listen to it in the car during my long commute makes that commute go by. The reader does a good job with voices, and I like the suspense lent my the little bit of music.

Loved the novel when I read it in paperback for the first time. Narration by Kimberly Alexis is very good. She does a good job of differentiating the voices of the different characters.

I really like the first book about Anita Blake Vampire Killer. I had read this book awhile back, but really wanted to add all of the older books to my audiobook library. Penquin really messed up when they changed narrators. If your going to have someone use a french accent they should be able to speak french. The change in narrators has me doubting the advisability of purchasing any more of this series in audio. The story is a good basis to build from but the audio is terrible.
