Faulty transformer January 9, 2009

After just 30 days the 12V transformer power cord failed making it impossible to power the neon light. I needed to replace the cord to make it operational again.

Doesn't keep time July 23, 2009

Purchased the clock directly from Guinness Webstore in late May '09 as a gift which I presented late June '09. It didn't work--kept time too slow. Changed the batteries several times and it still didn't work properly. Even though the product was defective, Guinness Webstore refused to exchange it because they have a 30-day return policy and wouldn't make an exception for a faulty product. Pay attention to return policy deadlines--Guinness Webstore will not consider manufacturing defects.

Clock doesn't keep time July 23, 2009

The cheap clock mechanism doesn't keep time, it loses several minutes per hour (I tested it with several new batteries to make sure). When I contacted the Guinness Webstore to ask them to replace it they refused, telling me it's not their problem and I should contact the manufacturer (somewhere in China). Not only is this Guinness Webstore product faulty, their customer service is terrible and I would NOT buy from them them in the future.
