Editorial Reviews

About the Artist
The Moody Brothers have received two Grammy Award nominations and won three International Country Music Awards. In 1985 their version of "Cotton Eyed Joe" was nominated for a Grammy has "Best Country Instrumental Performance" with Chet Atkins, Ricky Skaggs, the Whites and Asleep At The Wheel. In 1989, their "Great Train Song Medley" was nominated again in the same category. This North Carolina based trio was voted "Most Popular Trio" by readers on Country Music Magazines in twelve different countries over Dolly Parton/Linda Ronstadt/Emmylou Harris, the Gatlin Brothers, SKO, and Riders In The Sky. As a result of their popularity in Europe, in 1992, they became the featured attraction at Disney Village at Disneyland Paris where they have performed for over ten million guests and their shows still continue... Band Members: Carlton Moody; David Moody; Trent Moody

Product Description
This CD features two time Grammy Award nominees The Moody Brothers with special guest appearances by Doc Watson, Arthur Smith, George Hamilton IV, John D. Loudermilk, Don Dixon and Marty Jones. Standout tracks include the title track with Arthur "Guitar Boogie/Dueling Banjos" Smith, "Little Red Wagon" with multi-Grammy winner and folk legend Doc Watson, "Windy and Warm" with songwriter John D. Loudermilk, and "Abilene" with Grand Ole Opry star George Hamilton IV who originally recorded this classic in 1963. Great music throughout!

5.0 out of 5 stars Guitar picking at it's best!, October 10, 1999
By A Customer
The Moody Brothers have been one of my favorite groups for years. They sing good and play great. I saw them on TNN and the Grand Old Opry several years ago. I'm so glad to find an album by them. They're really great! This album has Doc Watson, John D. Loudermilk and George Hamilton IV (who I've also seen on the Opry) playing with them. My favorite song is Zydeco Ball which sounds "cajun."
