5.0 out of 5 stars magic!, August 16, 2008
it is with real sadness that I pen this review; as Artie has passed on recently. What is left, however, is his gift.

Is his gift performance? talent? his ability to love his family? For that, I have no answer; but as to his gift of teaching, I can address.

Artie is a gifted teacher and he communicates well. His instructional DVDS are excellent and full of enthusiasm. This is no different.

Artie branched out over the years to include jazz chords into his vast collection. This DVD is like possessing a library for chords along with a teacher who not only does not take himself too seriously, but is just SO impressed with this sound, or that sound, that you cannot help but be infected by his contagious enthusiasm.

Even for beginners, this is an important DVD for your guitar instruction library, but it is also great for intermediate guitarists who wish to expand their expression of chords.

Artie's teaching is terrific. Also check out his DVDs on lead guitar---he can make a single note, bent just so, sound like the most important note of your life! He is that much fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great help for beginner-intermediate, April 19, 2009
By B. Bomer (Illinois, USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
My husband started guitar about a year and a half ago. (He's over 50) He says that this dvd has been one of the best instruction tools he has used. He was anxious to try it when I surprised him with it, and was not disappointed. The illustrations are clear and the instructions are easy to follow. If an instructional dvd can teach a mid-lifer with little musical background, I think that's pretty impressive!
