5.0 out of 5 stars Mozart: Rondo in C - Ferdinando Carulli...., November 6, 2002

I absolutely love this - in fact have just bought my second CD so I can have one in the car and one at home - it is so exciting - it comes to crescendos that are tremendously envigorating - I often play it on my way to work to get my energy up for the workday ahead! When I first heard it, I was driving, and had to stop my car to find a pen so I could write down the title to order it - that was about three years ago and it remains my favorite classical album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantasic album of sweet guitar sounds, August 1, 2009
This review is from: Guitar Concertos (Audio CD)
One of the best recordings of classical music for the guitar. Easy to listen to and hard not to love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classical Guitar Virtuoso, November 28, 2011

This review is from: Guitar Concertos (Audio CD)
I have long been a fan of classical guitar music and have a few Christopher Parkening recordings. He is also a very accomplished guitarist. I can't remember why I ordered this particular CD of Pepe Romero performing with the Academy of St. Martins in the Fields--I guess I heard one of the concertos on the local station. Anyway this music is beautiful and artfully arranged, like the Mozart pieces that were meant for violin and orchestra. Pepe Romero like Christopher Parkening does arrangements to accomodate the guitar. The results are amazing and really show off the guitar which I think is a most underused instrument when it comes to solo work with an orchestra. I would love to hear more of Pepe Romero's guitar!
