I will admit I am not Aerosmith's greatest fan, but when I found out they were going to be doing a Guitar Hero game I thought how cool...

My husband and I have been playing all afternoon since we brought the game home, and despite what others have said it is a FUN game. In my opinion it's a lot more ...colorful...than GH3, which I love. The venues are awesome, very creative. The setlist has many songs that you will instantly recognize while throwing in older, lesser known Aerosmith songs. Which isn't a bad thing...I don't think we've come across a song that we don't like. For every venue you start off playing 2 warm up songs by different artists as the old GH band. After that you play 3 songs as Aerosmith and then an encore.

I have read many early comments from various websites with people complaining about Aerosmith being picked to do this game. What they fail to mention is that with ANY band they choose to do these games with there are going to be people who won't want that game, and that's understandable. When the rumored Metallica GH comes out the same thing will happen because there are people who don't like them. For those saying that this game should have been available as downloadable content for $15-20 are just full of themselves and not thinking. On the PS network they want you to pay almost $7 for an add-on pack of just 3 songs. Do the math. This game has over 40 songs....

With all that being said, if you enjoy music and the GH series you will like this game. If you can't stand Aerosmith, then yes, stay away and wait for GH4 this fall. But for those who think they might like the game, don't be discouraged from buying it.

Overall this is a fun game just disappointed there wasn't more Aerosmith songs included.Could have been much better. ;-(

This game is great! There are going to be people who complain about everything, so, unless you feel like they do, you will enjoy this game! It is so fun! I have been playing since we got it. My brother, sister, and I play against each other and with each other. I love all the songs on it. I am glad it is not all Aerosmith, that would probably be boring, but there is a mix of Aerosmith and non-Aerosmith songs. I love it!

I like this game, I still have it in my collection because it's Aerosmith and it's still fun, but I really feel they could have done a little bit better with this. It wasn't quite as fun as like Guitar Hero 3 was, and at the same time I also didn't feel that it did Aerosmith justice. It had a lot of their great songs and all that, but I though they could have done better with the features and animations and such. Plus, I thought it was really kind of stupid that you couldn't play through together with a friend until after you finished playing through by yourself. That was kind of lame. Other than that though, it's still pretty cool and I would still recommend it to Guitar Hero fans or those just getting into Guitar Hero games.

This should be called Guitar Hero featuring AeroSmith...you have to play a lot of other songs to unlock Aerosmith songs, you do not have the option of creating your own avatar...I have several Guitar Hero games as well as Rock Bands, this game doesnt come close in comparison!!

Really haven't liked the song selection so far, haven't gotten all the way through the game like I did with World Tour.
It's not bad per se, but just not my cup of tea. And I thought I'd like it because I enjoy Aerosmith as a band.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is an Aerosmith fan's dream come true, but the game's narrow focus and lack of content will prove unappealing to the average GH player. If you're a Guitar Hero-loving Aerosmith fan then go and get it already! For everybody else, it could be one to miss go get Band Hero. :)

An older Guitar Hero game and that is just what it is. The game is ok, I played it once since I got it and haven't play it since. After playing the newer versions of GH, this one here does have a "dated" game play. If you like Aerosmith, you will like playing the game for the music.

..Basically just GH3 with Aerosmith. Decent Game if you really like GH, however for $60 the lack of extensive new content somewhat disappoints.

I sadly agree with most people in that this game is just Guitar Hero 3 with aerosmith songs. There are no new characters or any decent songs besides aerosmith, except a couple like stone temple pilots. While the gameplay remains fun and challenging, it is not worth 60 dollars for 30 aerosmith songs and 10 others. Unlike Guitar Hero 3, this game only caters to people that like softer classic rock or Joe Perry's solo redneck rock. While the greatness of the franchise remains in tact, this disguised expansion pack by Activision shows that they like fooling consumers too.
