5.0 out of 5 stars This game is killing me!! October 5, 2010
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii|Edition:Standard
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I don't have a dog in the Rock Band / Guitar Hero fight. We play both series, and when the kids went Wii, so did my RB/GH discs. I've been playing just Rock Band titles for about a year and I'd forgotten how much more difficult the Guitar Hero titles are. (My first few hours were spent in Beginner mode!)

Pros - Good degree of difficulty, I will never beat this at it's top level. Ever.
Strong song selection, leans toward heavier tracks
Comes with a single disc version of Soundgarden's new best of release
Works with Beatles Rock Band equipment after calibration
Cheesy but entertaining over the top storyline

Cons - Includes Rush 2112 (all of it) and a video by the band. 50% of the adults in the house think that's a reason to buy it, right there.
Interferes with other life activities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tons of fun! October 24, 2010
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii|Edition:Standard
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
We love this game! We have nearly all of them and this is our favorite so far. The quest mode adds a nice and different spin to the game and even though we aren't the best Guitar Hero players, we are managing to get through the quest just fine. The song choices are good with a mix of old and new stuff, that it's just enough to keep you from getting bored with the same old kind of music. The graphics and animations are excellent and the stuff you "win" during the quests to dress up your own rocker is wild! I think most Guitar Hero fans will love this game.

3.0 out of 5 stars Calibration Issues Abound! January 4, 2012
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii|Edition:Standard
Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
I have a lot of Rock Band and Guitar Hero games (I think about 9 or 10 between the 2 series) and this is BY FAR the worst when it comes to calibrating the instruments. I have spent the majority of my playing time trying to find a delay that fits the Video and Audio to no avail. On top of that, when I am hitting the proper buttons on the fret, the game delays in recognizing that they are being hit, causing me to miss basically every note change. INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING.

I have awarded it 3 stars because:
A) I am holding out hope that I will be able to find a proper calibration and
B) I think that it has an impressive library of songs (which makes me sad that I can't actually play them yet...)

A NOTE:
I do have an LCD TV (even though I am connected via the AV cables) so this is probably giving me the most problem.
If you have a standard def TV, I think this would be an easy decision to buy because it won't have the lag issues!
