I was really anxious waiting for my pre ordered "super bundle" and I got really disappointed when I got a new game with previous versions controllers. I bought this because of the song selection, the drum set and the NEW guitar. I got only two of those three things. It would've been very nice if the product description of Standard Guitar said Old Guitar. The drum set came a little dusty and with a minor scratch which I'll not complain about since it is on one percussion area. The microphone is not compatible with guitar hero Metallica or The Beatles (these two require a Logitech mic and the game comes with a Guitar Hero mic) but it works fine with this game.

I'm great fan of the GH series and that is why, despite my disappointment with the controllers, I think the game itself deserves a good rating.

This is a fun game. My 6 year old and 4 year have a hard time playing the guitar so they trade off with the drums (while i rock the guitar/bass).

You need a Wii remotes to play each instrument and mic so if you are like us who just baught a wii you will need to purchase two more remotes.

Also, my kids (4 and 6) dont really like many of the songs but you can always buy other songs from the guitar hero library. These instruments also work with the new Rock band 3.

I purchased this game for my son's 7th birthday. I was deeply disapointed that the Super bundle didn't come with the new guitar that you get with just the guitar bundle but instead it was the one from guitar hero 5. But since it was our "first" guitar hero for the Wii, it wasn't too bad and I plan on purchasing the Warriors of Rock guitar as soon as it is available as stand-alone.

My son loves it and doesn't care about the guitar. My husband loves the drumset. First time playing the drums, hence the Super Bundle. So, I think it was a good investment for my family. It may not be for other people and they may find it "lacking" somehow but my husband and son don't care about the songs, they just like to spend the time together.

I haven't tried the microphone yet so I will leave no comment on that.

This is my first time buying Guitar Hero for my kids so I made the purchase after checking out the instruments in retail stores like Best Buy and Fry's. Then I made my purchase online at Amazon.com because the price was much lower.

I don't really like the songs that much but this is more of a personal taste than a problem of the game. The game itself is very very entertaining. What I really like the most are the included instruments: guitar and drum set. They are of higher quality than expected as everyone in the house took a beating on them and they still work just fine.

Thumbs up if this is your first Guitar Hero. Buy this combo and save yourself some money. You can always buy other Guitar Hero game disc if you don't like the songs.

My husband and I bought this game as a Christmas present for ourselves. It got here right when Amazon said it would. We had a hard time playing at first, but after we searched the internet we figured out the problem. Because we had a HD tv there was lag between what we were seeing on the screen and what we were hearing. We fixed it in the options section using the drum controller. Once we fixed that, we. Had a great time playing Guitar Hero!

We are a family of 5 and this game is perfect for all of us. Our 9 and 8 year olds can play the instruments or sing, while our 4 year old can sing or play with us on his DS. The Quickplay feature is great for the family because you can't get boo'd off the stage and everyone can jump in or drop out without affecting everyone else. The Roadie feature allows the DS to join in which the kids absolutely love! We all enjoy the Quest. Challenging and lots of fun to work toward a goal!

If I did not have a RockBand setup previously I might not be quite so disappointed but even still, this pile of junk has a lot to be desired. To start, it's called the Warriors of Rock super bundle but it doesn't come with Warriors of Rock guitar; what a jip! Second, you need a Wii-mote for each instrument and with three instruments, that means you need three Wii-motes. Rock Band only requires a Wii-mote for the mic while the drums and guitar essentially have their own Wii-motes built in. That leads to my next complaint, the need to install and remove the Wii-motes each time you want to use the Wii for another activity. We have multiple children in our home and make sure that the silicone Wii-mote protective sleeves remain on the Wii-motes which need to be removed and installed each time. The Wii-motes fit snug into the instruments and don't move around but getting the plastic covers to snap onto the instrument with the Wii-mote intalled can be a bit aggravating with the wrist strap getting in the way and the "instrument to Wii-mote" plug and cord being so rigid. The only way to alleviate these frustrations would be to purchase a separate Wii-mote for the guitar and one for the drums. Wii-motes that wouldn't need the wrist strap or silicone sleeve. Then you could just leave them installed in the instruments, with the exception of battery replacement, while you play other games or use your Wii for other activities with yet separate Wii-motes however, the convienience is lost in the cost of so many Wii-motes. Next is the fact that they re-recorded many of the songs and differ slightly from the originals that I grew up with. It's like buying a Lamborghini only to find out that it has a go-cart motor in it. It still goes from point A to point B but it's just not the same.Read more ›
