Fantastic book about an Amazing man!, December 4, 2004
This review is from: Me and My Bass Guitar (The Life and Music of Victor Lemonte Wooten) (Paperback)
Victor Wooten has to be the most phenomenol, world changing bass player since Jaco. I love fiction more than any other genre and normally find non-fiction extremely boring, but this book is written in a different way than any other biography I have ever read. It is a captivating story that will capture and absorb any type of reader regaurless of age or social status. Vic Wooten is honestly a more intresting a person than a bass player. He is a family man, a magician, a soccer player, a basketball player, a juggler, a gymnast, and can do just about anything you can imagine. This is a must read for anyone who can.

Ultimate cool biography!, November 18, 2004
This review is from: Me and My Bass Guitar (The Life and Music of Victor Lemonte Wooten) (Paperback)
Man, even if you ARE NOT a bass player, you will love this book. Me and My Bass Guitar is filled with life stories and writing that is amazing. Victor's story is inspirational for anyone and Paul Hargett does a good job of telling it. While I appreciate the book as a bass player, my girlfriend loved the story. She got tired of me talking about it and read it herself and loves it! Now, she wants to go see Victor. From a musician standpoint, it is a must read. The music section is especially cool and easy to understand. I recommend this book to anyone.

A must have book for musicians!, October 8, 2004
This review is from: Me and My Bass Guitar (The Life and Music of Victor Lemonte Wooten) (Paperback)
While this book has the ability to appeal to anyone, it is so well written, this is a must read for any musician, especially bass players. Even if you have been living under a rock for the last fifteen years and have never heard of Victor Wooten, it is a really cool story. For those of us Wooten fans around the world however, this is something special. While I am a little biased because I am a bass player, and Victor Wooten has always been one of my heros, this biography is great. It is a little different as far as bios go and reads easy and has something for everyone. The chapters on bass and music are incredible. I give this bio five stars for sure. Can I do six?
