A sampler it is, and for a comparison of diversity of both composition and technique you get a lot for your money. A real bargain.

This inexpensive Naxos recording is an excellent comilation of Spanish Guitar music through the years. It is thoroughly enjoyable. A must for any enthusiast of spanish guitar music.

This CD is provides great music at a price that can't be beat! If you like guitar that is reflective and peaceful, this CD is for you. The CD is restful and that means a great deal after a busy day.

Besides, at this price, what have you got to lose?

I enjoy this selection of classical guitar pieces (even more so because it was purchased on sale), and look forward to exploring these composers further (especially Sor and Tarrega). I was delighted when my six-year-old son asked to hear "the guitar music" at bedtime instead of the usual children's music.

This is a nice cross section of the best classical guitar recordings for the money recorded for the great Naxos label. Highly recomended.

"Scarlatti Played Guitar?" Well, maybe the lute, but to be sure, Naxos did not record Scarlatti or JS Bach for this CD! I thoroughly searched the Naxos website trying to find the artists for this sampler; to no avail. However, I did find this listing of artists at another e-tailer.

I might try this if the meta data weren't all screwed up. The composers are listed as the artists, so how is one to know who's actually playing the pieces?
