Voting produces a list of spectacular musicians, and while You might not agree with all of the choices, there's no arguing all of them can rip some very hot licks.

This review is from: Guitar World Presents the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time (Paperback)
What's most conspicuous about a book that purports to highlight the 100 greatest guitarists of all time is the long list of superb guitarists that are excluded, including the likes of Barney Kessel, Herb Ellis, Joe Pass, Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt, Andre Segovia, Julian Breem, etc. Any book on "great" guitarists, let alone the 100 greatest, which doesn't include the inimitable talents of the world's renown jazz and classical guitarists is vacuous. All this book does is cater to the rock crowd and their three chord, twelve barre playing. John Fogerty in a book about great guitarists? What a joke! It is not worth your time or money.
