GUITARISMA TWO, August 11, 2011
This review is from: Guitarisma 2: The Charisma, Mystique and Pure Expression of the Guitar (Audio CD)
Twice makes nice. This follow-up to Guitarisma is maybe better in some ways. Opens with Craig Chaquico's Trade Winds. Perfect. Later, Brian Hughes and While the World Slowly Turns--smooth, round tone--jazzy goodness. Nice to play along with I might add. Believe it or not, Buckethead has two tracks here both from his album Colma. I have played this collection a million times and still enjoy it--easy to like. Grant Geissman, 3rd Force, Douglass Spotted Eagle, and Midnight Express by Neal Schon from his Electric World album. Higher Octave Music has compelling recordings and this is a great one for the guitar music collection I continue to build.

Worth buying, could be even better., January 24, 2000
This review is from: Guitarisma 2: The Charisma, Mystique and Pure Expression of the Guitar (Audio CD)
This song is a real mix of styles and sounds. Most of the songs are okay...worth listening to, but nothing superb. With the exception of FireDance. This song alone brings this CD up to 4 stars. With the superb guitar playing of Daryl Stuermer (from Genesis) and the delightful flute playing of Douglas Spotted Eagle, this song stands above the rest and makes the CD worth the price. It has a wonderful Native American feel with a fair amount of rock mixed in. Superb.
