4.0 out of 5 stars 'Guitars That Rule The World,Volume 2:Smell The Fuzz' - V/A
I usually don't care for guitar oriented/various artist CD's,but this one was different.I find myself giving it a spin more often than usual. The tunes that I liked best were Victor(Alex Lifeson of Rush)'s "Strip And Go Naked",the smoking Ace Frehley's "Cherokee Boogie",Robert Fripp's "Sunset Collage" and J.Yuenger(White Zombie)'s "Blues For 2-XL".'Guitars That Rule...'...

3.0 out of 5 stars Fuzzy, but not Guitar Hero stuff...
I think that people who buy this album is expecting a full barrage of guitar playing, but the only tracks I really liked were the Hellecasters, the Unheard Of (featuring Ralph Santolla, and a couple other death metal players) and Billy Sheehan's track (and he's not even a guitarist!).

This CD was made with a lot of commercial stuff in mind featuring White Zombie's J,...

This CD was made with a lot of commercial stuff in mind featuring White Zombie's J, and Billy Corgan. As well as Alex Lifeson doing a strange track not complacent with his Rush years.

Overall I gave this CD a 3 because it is not comparable to the first volume, however, the Unheard OF and Billy Sheehan tracks COMPLETELY satisfy my Guitar Hero fix for the day.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Solo Guitar Album, April 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Guitars That Rule The World, Vol. 2: Smell The Fuzz (Audio CD)
This is a fine solo guitar album. Spanning the playfulness of the Hellecaster's Disintonation, the fuzzy motion sickness inducing Blues For 2-XL by J. Yuenger, and the overpowering crunch of Ace Frehley on Cherokee Boogie, Smell the Fuzz should be an exciting listen for any electric guitar fan. Another highlight is the incredible speed of three death metal guitarists on Unheard Of's Explosion. Although some songs left me feeling unsatisfied, this CD spends more time in my stereo than Guitars that Rule the World, Vol. 1.

I love death metal. I was pleased to hear it's style in this recording. All the songs are killer. This disc is better then the first on e, in my opinion.

I heard the first ¨Guitare that rule the world¨,and I rate it 5 star, but the second vol.sound so fuzzy that it isn't rock n'roll at all. This one spoiled the rock n'roll spirit!
