This review is from: Gulag Moon - Book one of the Chronos series (Kindle Edition)
This book has almost nonstop action. The characters are interesting and I found myself riveted to the the entire story. The author is not overly preoccupied with high tech weaponry, but when it is used, the realities of needing large power supplies, or being susceptible to damage by electro magnetic pulses are addressed. As a result, not everyone has a laser or a photon gun. But, the author still finds plenty of opportunity to fight swarms of robots or demonstrate his vision of a battlefield where lasers are used.

This is a prequel to Chronos and sets up the series nicely. I would say this is my favorite book in the series so far. I really enjoyed reading it. I found the characters to be intriguing and I was riveted to the book to see what would happen next.I would definitely recommend it. |
