Gullah for You : A dictionary
This is a very good dictionary for anyone who is interested in the Gullah people & their language. I heard about the Gullah people from my Aunt who works for the Wycliffe Bible Translators. This is a very good dictionary for anyone who is interested in the Gullah people & their language. I heard about the Gullah people from my Aunt who works for the Wycliffe Bible Translators. Since I live in the Carolinas and I'm very interested in other languages I thought I might need a dictionary to help with some of the harder pronunciations in all the Gullah books that I've purchased.This book has helped a great deal since it has the phonic pronunciations for each word. I do think that they should have put the word "dictionary" in the title so everyone would know before they purchased the book so that is the only reason I didn't give the book 5 stars.

Fabulous Jewel of a History Book Found!!,

This book is amazing! Not only did the Author give you the correct pronunciation and definition for Gullah terms, but she gave us a history lesson as well. It enabled me to capture a history lost! And for that I am both grateful and thirsty.
