An intriguing collection of twisted tunes can be found on the soundtrack for the film Gummo. In addition to traditionally devilish ditties, there is a diverse assortment of scungy trailer metal, fuzz-filled stoner rock, and experimental noise by bands as varied as Eyehategod, Sleep, and Namanax. The black metal cuts by Absu, Burzum, and Mortician are more dynamic than most, and the wailing weirdness of tracks like Destroy All Monsters' sample-saturated "Mom's and Dad's Pussy" and Mischa Maisky's sparse, creepy "Suite No. 2 for Solo Cello in D Minor-Prelude" prevents the flailing noise from becoming overbearing. --Jon Wiederhorn

My favorite soundtrack by far. Very much overlooked and underrated. A classic in it's own league. Beating every other compilation soundtrack in the heavy department, offering you a wide selection of brutal metalsongs. There's ABSU, BATHORY, NIFELHEIM and MYSTIFIER.. Especially the last song in the movie is a very rare BETHLEHEM track and one of their finest for sure. I have to admit I was eager to get the soundtrack because of thát particular song.
Apart from the metal stuff there's plenty more to enjoy so if the movie didn't scare you off, then the soundtrack will definitely give you as much fun. Get it!

For a metalhead looking to broaden their horizons, this is a great CD. Aside from just a few curveballs, this is a straight-up metal record. It was thanks to this soundtrack that I started getting into Bethlehem, Sleep, and EyeHateGod... which were all bands that I'd heard of before, but never owned any of their material. Aside from being a great collector's companion to one helluva bizarre movie, it's a good listen.

This soundtrack is almost as incredible as the movie is. Spazz dishes out one of their best tunes. Also the Eyehategod track is well how can I put this brutal. In conclusion buy this soundtrack

When I saw the film Gummo, I knew that the only thing that had made the movie so intense was the soundtrack. This is as bad as it gets, if you're a part of the hardcore scene. Rammstein back up!
