we are a firearms distributor in manila and have been on a lookout for a source book with as many guns with the corresponding details as possible. guess i found it right here in this book. it contains every bit you want to know about guns, except for the performance, where you wont obviously get in a book like this. anyway, its a great book overall, but it could have gotten five stars if it had more pages in color. most were in black and white. nevertheless, it has really helped our business a lot

Why So Cheap?,

I should have guessed. A thick and comprehensive value guide for guns that although used, was less than two bucks. Reason? It was over 10 years old and the information was not relevant for newer firearms. Would have been nice to mention that the book was out of date but then, it was less than $2.

Was able to use the book to get a base value on our guns...helped in making the right decisions on selling them.

Nice go-to manual for trying to get current values on a wide variety of handguns, rifles, and shotguns, especially since this is next to impossible to do on-line. This is a pretty exhaustive compilation and generally good throughout. One minor complaint: they don't list some aftermarket suppliers' make and model numbers. It would be nice if they could do this, and nicer yet if they could cross-reference them with the actual gunmakers themselves. Two examples: (1) Glenfield's Model 30a (Marlin), and Sears Roebuck's Ted Williams Model 100 (Winchester). Otherwise, I highly recommend this digest.
