This review is from: The Gun Digest Book of Shotgun Gunsmithing (Paperback)
Like many of Gun Digest's titles, this book appears to collect a series of previously published articles that do not have a clear, progressive relationship. I am not a gunsmith, but was hoping to learn about the basics of shotgun functioning. This book was either much too simple -- outlining differences between SxS, O/U, and Autos -- or way too complex -- converting an old rifle barrel into a sleeve for a pump gun. Worst of all, the references to popular models are so dated (maybe 20 years) that they're almost useless. If "Gunsmithing" weren't in the title, I might feel differently; but Brister would still be the superior book on gun dynamics.
