I gave Adrian, Paul and Louis 5 stars for their ambitious work, a lot of heart and eneregy in creating this CD. I also would like to give the stars to the sound engineers that remastered the original LP. Excellent job! I bought this album in 1970 back home in Poland and listened to it more than thousand times. CD has just arrived a few hours ago and ... I feel thirty years younger today.
These guys know how to dish out and write very catchy clever songs. Best I can describe it is heavier Beatles Revolver era meets Uriah Heeps Easy Living. Some good orchestration and horns on some tracks. I was very pleased with this CD from start to finish. Highlights: Race w/the Devil, Yellow Cab Man, Rupert's Travels, Take Off and the bonus track Drives You Mad. The CD also has 4 bonus tracks the afformentioned Drives You Mad and the single versions of Race With The Devil, Sunshine and Rupert's Travels. Buy it, it rocks.
Another one of them jewel obscured bands around the turning point of the seventy's, that was on CBS U.K.. And was played well on FM radio around the summer time when getting a tan and drinking a full case of beer and smoking a cigarette at the beach without any problems. Man, those were the day's! Songs I like is, Race with the Devil, Yellow Cab Man (like that song), Sunshine, Take Off, and You know what's weird? They'ed played Real Cool World more then Race with the Devil, which sounded the same to me with all that laughing, but with a little different arrangement. Get it for Your Collection! P.S., And when Your thinking of Me saying Laughing, it's not Arthur Brown and His Crazy World Band, boy, another NOVELTY ACT!
